Today we had the opportunity to do some professional work for a group of writers producing the final book in their trilogy about Further Education (FE). We were briefed in the morning by Joel - one of the authors. We were told about the work that was required and the connection that The Tempest, by William Shakespeare had to with their own writing. I was given quote number 13 which was:
"Those who profess to favor freedom and yet depreciate agitation, are people who want crops without ploughing the ground; they want rain without thunder and lightning; they want the ocean without the roar of its many waters."
From my understanding this meant that you want the result but do not want to process or the work to get it. So I experimented with this theme, coming up with the idea of having a wealthy king begging for more money. My execution of this was not very effective and produced the wrong statement so I switched to a more clear and blatant idea. This being a man relaxing and shouting for others to keep doing the work for him.
