Got it just right...

Updated: Dec 10, 2019

Today I had my first lesson in photography in which we explored and experimented with changing the aperture size which controlling the distance that the camera would focus on, and the shutter speed which controlled how much light gets into the camera.

When taking the photographs of the blue flowers I experimented with the aperture size and shutter speed. In this case I had the aperture size to be set small so that it would have the objects in the foreground focused. The shutter speed had been set to 1/160 so that it would capture a clear image of the flower even with the wind blowing it around.

I really enjoyed this activity and I was given the freedom to experiment with all of the settings. I produced several pictures that I am proud of. These include the pictures of the flowers as I liked what I had managed to accomplish by changing the aperture size and shutter speed. The images of the flowers also had some really clear details in them that I thought made the photograph really 'Pop'.
