Lights, Camera, Action!

Updated: Dec 10, 2019

Today I was tasked with recording a short film in a group of three others. We researched information on shutter speed to make sure to provide a video that was clear, and discovered that the shutter speed needs to be double the frame rate that it will exported at.

In the process of filming the script created by an artificial intelligence, we were challenged by many difficulties. These included not laughing during the bizarre scene that the AI created. We got over this by practicing the scenes multiple times before recording and just trying out best to stay serious while filming the scene from the script.

When planning we made notes on scene locations and camera angles. I drew bird eye view and storyboards for some of the scenes so that we could plan where everyone would be in our scene and the angles that the camera man would capture.

We developed out time efficiency, making sure we had enough time to plan, record, and download the footage.
