What I did on the 15th October

Updated: Dec 10, 2019

In the morning I transferred my analogue work into digital work using a scanner. As the work was on A1 paper I had to scan the four corners of the paper and set the scanner to pick the image up as an A3 sheet. These images could then be merged to recreate it as one image. As some of these pictures didn't get scanned fully, I decided I would take photos of the artwork from directly above and crop them down in photoshop and make adjustments.

The images below display some of the adjustments I made:

Today I was introduced to the program, InDesign. InDesign is the tool that we are going to use to make our four booklets for our portfolio, so this was an important lesson. To get into the program we we learnt about the frame system that allows you to input images. I discovered that the program creates references to the images to make ensure that the programs runs smoothly; that it is why it is important for me to save all of my images in one location that can be accessed from any computer.

When trying to make my images fit the frame I used a tool called the 'Fill frame proportionally', this automatically tried to fit the images in the frame for you to save on time.

Looking back at todays work I enjoyed editing my prints in photoshop, adjusting their hues, saturation, contrast and brightness. In the wolf print I created a layer with a layer that had 'Lighten' affect which allowed me to apply colour to the monochromatic image below it.
