Animation in After Effects

Updated: Feb 6, 2020

Today Rob went over the basics of using key frames in After Effects, this allows for smooth and precise movement of media sources in the program. In this exercise we looked at keyframing the position, rotation (2D and 3D), scale and opacity. We animated the words from short haikus.

The short passage that I used from the haiku included:

I want to sleep,

Swat the flies,

Gently.

This was a short passage that I was able to animate the text for using keyframes. I already had experience using keyframes with animation so this was just to make sure we all understood how to do it for future reference.
