I would say that most posters are created digitally and not through analogue methods anymore and that computers are used to create renders of images from CAD software or maybe a design from Photoshop. The use and need of posters have generally stayed the same. We still use posters to promote political opinions (there is a thin line between propaganda and posters)

These both advertise two very different things, one being a new fizzy drink produced by the well known brand Fanta and the other is a poster for a fake film made in Photoshop.
